In this episode of the podcast David is joined by four of his friends and colleagues in emergency medicine. Drs. Stacey Barnes, Andy Cohen, Steven Hochman and Kat Vlasica witnessed up close the devastating first wave of the pandemic when it descended upon Paterson NJ in March of 2020.
David is an emergency physician and healthcare leader who played an integral role in his state's response to the pandemic.
Stacey is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY.
She is currently the Associate Program Director of the Residency in Emergency Medicine for St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ.
Kat is the Medical and Fellowship Director of Emergency Medicine Pain Management at St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine after attending Hope College in Holland, MI. She was recently honored as a Woman of Influence by the Croatian Women's Network.
Andy is an award winning emergency physician and former paramedic who attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.

Steven graduated from Princeton University and was a union organizer before attending New Jersey Medical School and the Morristown Medical Center Residency in Emergency Medicine.
He is an attending physician at St. Joseph's University Medical Center where he is currently the Medical Director of Research and the Director of Quality in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
